- When you drop your iPad, it usually falls tilted and lands on one of its four corners.
The usual "aluminum casing with the same thickness on the 4 corners" are
susceptible to deformation due to the impact when it hits the ground.
We focused on real drop tests and performed countless tests to design
a case that prevents deformation and is highly durable.
Following this design principle for an "easy to use, protective case",
we arrived at this solid bumper with 4 protruding corners.

- We focused on durability and operability
Some customers comment "GILD design cases all have 4 corners protruding,
and they make every phone look the same."
GILD design cases do not look especially stylish,
and it takes some effort to install and remove as it uses bolts.
Still, we prioritized "stress-free operability"
and "a structure that can even hold up to buckling loads when dropped".
We wanted to make a GILD design case that is guaranteed to protect your iPad for at least 2 years,
even if the case itself breaks apart.
Smooth Our pursuit of usability
Through repeated prototyping, the bumper is designed so that
it fits snugly around the parts of the iPad which users frequently touch.
The inner dimensions of the bumper are 132×192mm,
and it can be used with commercially available protective glass films. *1
An original Apple Smart Folio (protective case) can be used together with the bumper.
The bumper protects the side of the iPad,
while the Smart Folio protects the back and the display of the iPad. *2
An Apple Pencil (2nd generation) can be attached and removed
from the bumper while the bumper is installed.
The pencil is completely covered by the bumper while it is attached,
preventing it from being damaged by accidental falls. 		The opening for the charging port is designed to be wide,
with a width of 12mm and a height of 6.5mm.
The bumper comes with shock–absorbent material
attached to its corners,
which mitigates impacts
together with the bumper itself. 		The opening for the power button,
which is equipped with a fingerprint sensor,
is shaped so that you can completely
cover the button with your finger.
Rubber o rings are attached to prevent the screws from losing. Available color bolts are the same size and
can be used for iPad mini6.
※If you choose to use aluminum shims to avoid touching the lens,
the color bolts cannot be used as they are not long enough.
Face ID → There are no problems while using face recognition and unlocking.

Due to the design of the bumper, the opening for the camera is slightly offset,
but this does not affect the functionality of the camera.
*3　This product is made of Duralumin, which interrupts the signal from the back of the iPhone.
It is possible that might lower the phone reception.
It may be difficult to receive radio waves in places with poor radio wave conditions from the beginning.
If you are receiving normal radio waves, you should be fine.

Notes on commercially available LCD screens and back protective films
Commercially available protective glass films of up to height 192mm and width 132mm can be installed.

However, even with a protective glass film meeting the above specifications, undesirable defects such as air bubbles or halo effects may occur, depending on the type of protective glass film used.

Please note that we cannot guarantee adequate installation of protective glass films.
Precaution about front and back tempered glass protectors from retailers

GILD design makes no guarantee about compatibility as long as the thickness is 0.2 mm or less. Please be aware of this before purchasing. Other than the products that our company recommends, front and back tempered glass that are 0.2mm or less in thickness should be compatible. However, even if they are 0.2mm or less, the installation method and glass type may cause some air bubble infiltration and defects like bulging. We cannot guarantee that it will definitely be compatible as long as the thickness is 0.2mm or less. Please be aware of this before you purchase.

・This product is made of Duralumin, which interrupts the signal from the back of the iPad mini6. It is possible that might lower the phone reception.

・This product is anodized. There are two dots that were not anodized on the inside of the case. These are the electrical connection places that will not catch the color during the anodizing process, and it is not a defect.

・This product is designed for iPad mini 6.

・This product is not made to protect the iPad mini6 completely from all kinds of damage. Please notice that we will not be responsible for any breakage, loss, damage, or data loss of the iPad mini6.

・By using silicone shock absorber sheets, our product is designed to prevent the iPad mini6 and the aluminum case from touching each other, and it is not designed to protect the iPad mini6 from all damage.

・Please be aware that our company will not be responsible for any scratches on your iPad mini 6 when using the case.

・We might make changes on the case functions, appearance, or package contents without giving a notice.

・There are possibilities that chargers and earphones that are made by companies other than apple cannot be used. (The diameter of the earphone jack is 8.5mm)

・Any protection film under 0.2mm can be used. However, depending on the type of the film there will be possibilities that the film make a gap between it and the screen.

・This case is made of aluminum! Please be careful on the sharp edges when installing the case.

・There is a top and bottom in this product. Please be sure that the circular cut on the case will go to the earphone jack side.

・After putting the wrench firmly into the screw, please fasten it with the right amount of force to prevent the screw from breaking.

・Please note that as the characteristics of anodizing, it is difficult to produce the same color.
